Love your dog but find it hard to walk them as often as you would like? Work, family and unexpected commitments can all easily stop us from taking our dogs for a regular walk.
If you are having a hard time keeping up with a daily dog walk routine, a regularly scheduled walk with Chasing Tails is the perfect answer to help balance busy lifestyles with your dog’s need for exercise and enjoyment. Regular walking also frequently helps address or alleviate common dog problems such as excessive barking, destructive behaviour, anxiety and excessive weight gain.

Dog Walking Options
Chasing Tails provides a variety of dog walking options to get your dog out and about. Walks for 30, 45 or 60 minutes in duration are offered.
Walk times include the time we enter your premises to collect your dog(s) to the time that they are returned to your property.
Need a different option to suit your dog’s needs? Contact Chasing Tails to discuss customising experiences that will best suit you and your dog’s needs.
Do you have a senior dog, a dog with a medical condition, or a dog that does not enjoy walking? Chasing Tails can tailor a program to suit their needs by dividing time between various activities including walking, playing or just enjoying some cuddles!
Walk times and time windows will be negotiated during your initial meet and greet with Chasing Tails. A 2-3 hour time window is required (i.e. between 8 am – 11 am).
About Dog Walks

All dog walks are one-on-one (i.e. no group walks - only dogs from the same household) to ensure that your dog receives personalised attention, is walked at their own pace and the walk is tailored to suit their needs.

During dog walks dogs will be kept on their leash at all times.

Dog walks are conducted in your local neighbourhood in dog-friendly environments.

Dog waste bags are provided.

Dogs have access to water throughout walks.

Dog treats are provided during walks (with owner’s consent).

As a safety precaution, a mobile phone and your dog’s emergency/vet contact details are carried on all walks.

An SMS upon completion of each walk is sent for your peace of mind.
Dog Walking Prices
All prices quoted are for 1 dog.
30 minutes - $32.00
45 minutes - $38.00
60 minutes - $47.00

Additional dog (same household) $5.00 per walk.

A $20 surcharge applies to all weekend bookings.

A 50% surcharge applies to all public holiday bookings.

A $12 key pick up fee applies if keys are not provided at the initial meet and greet or prior to the first scheduled walk. Please note that keys are not required if your dog(s) can be easily accessed from your premises to collect for walking.
Dog Walking Safety Policy
- Dogs will be walked in all weather that they are used to and comfortable with, but will not be walked during thunderstorms or in extreme heat. Chasing Tails will contact you if inclement weather is forecast to discuss an alternative day and time for dog walking.

In the event of wet weather during a walk, dogs will be towelled dry after completion of the walk.

Dogs must wear a secure collar with a form of identification attached at all times. An engraved or Council registration tag is preferred.

Dogs must have a secure leash/harness/halti. A front lead harness for dogs that pull is preferred. Please note that dogs will not be walked using any form of choker collars.

All dogs must be registered with their local Council. Microchipping is also strongly recommended.

During your initial meet and greet, you will be asked to provide details about your dog including health information and emergency/vet contact details. This will be carried on all dog walks as a safety precaution in the unlikely event of an emergency.
Payment Policy
All bookings must be paid prior to the commencement of service or at the time of the booking unless otherwise arranged.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations are accepted where at least 24 hours’ notice is provided.

A $10 cancellation fee applies where less than 24 hours’ notice is provided.

Full payment of the scheduled walk fee will still apply if the dog(s) is not available/present at the agreed day/time/place for the walk.
Get Started!
Contact Chasing Tails to arrange an initial meet and greet with you and your dog(s) at your home. The initial meet and greet is complimentary for bookings of 5 or more walks. For bookings of less than 5 walks, the meet and greet is $30.
Prior to the initial meeting Chasing Tails will email you a Dog Walking Booking Form to complete. This form is used to record contact details, information about your dog(s) and also outlines our Terms and Conditions. During this meeting, we will review this information to ensure that all details have been covered and explained.
