It is also an excellent option for households with more than one pet so they can all stay together, for older animals and pets with special care needs.

Pet Sitting Options

Chasing Tails offers a range of pet sitting visit options to ensure your pets receive the care and attention they need. Visits of 30, 45 or 60 minutes in duration are available.

 

Pet sitting visits can be provided either once a day (AM or PM) or twice a day (AM & PM).

 

For pets that require extra attention or care, Chasing Tails also offers visits of more than 60 minutes or multiple daily visits.

About Pet Sitting

Chasing Tails pet sitting visits include the following services:

 

  • Feeding pets

  • Cleaning pet feeding bowls and eating areas

  • Refilling pet water bowls

  • Ensuring pet sleeping areas are clean and tidy

  • Removing pet waste (i.e. cleaning/changing kitty litter, picking up dog droppings)

  • Patting, cuddling and playing with your pets

  • Brushing coats (i.e. basic grooming)

  • Administering any necessary medications

  • Dog walking (45 and 60 minute pet sitting visits)

  • Sending a daily SMS/email update

  • Collecting mail, parcels and newspapers

  • Watering indoor plants

  • Taking out and bringing in rubbish bins

  • Undertaking a home security check (i.e. windows and doors)

  • Turning lights, TV, radio on and off

  • Opening and closing blinds or curtains

Pet Sitting Prices

All prices quoted are for 1 pet.

  • A 50% surcharge applies to all public holiday bookings.

  • A minimum booking period of 5 visits applies for bookings which include Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Day.

  • A minimum booking period of 3 visits applies for bookings over the Easter long weekend.

  • A $12 key collection fee applies if keys are not provided at the initial meet and greet or subsequent pet sitting bookings if keys are required.

  • Garden watering is also available at a rate of $10 per 15 minutes.

Pet Sitting Visit Policy

Chasing Tails Pet Sitting Visit Policy requires that pets are attended to at least once every 24 hours (i.e. a minimum of 1 visit per day) while in our care.

Payment Policy

Low Season: A 25% non-refundable deposit of the total pet sitting fee payable is required within 3 days of making a booking / the initial meet and greet. Bookings cannot be confirmed until a deposit is received. The balance of the total pet sitting fee payable (i.e. 75%) must be paid three (3) days prior to the commencement of service.

 

High Season*: A 50% non-refundable deposit of the total pet sitting fee payable is required within 3 days of making a booking / the initial meet and greet. Bookings cannot be confirmed until a deposit is received. The balance of the total pet sitting fee payable (i.e. 50%) must be paid two (2) weeks prior to the commencement of service.

 

*15 December – 15 January; Easter Thursday – Monday inclusive

Cancellation Policy

  • The pet sitting deposit is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled. The deposit is not transferable.

  • No refunds are offered for early returns (i.e. reduction in time pet sitting is required).

​Contact Chasing Tails to arrange an initial meet and greet for 30 minutes with you and your pet(s) at your home. The initial meet and greet is complimentary for bookings of 5 or more visits. For bookings of less than 5 visits, the meet and greet is $30.

 

Prior to the initial meeting Chasing Tails will email Pet Sitting Booking Forms for you to complete. These forms are used to record contact details, information about your pet(s) and also outlines pet sitting Terms and Conditions. During this meeting, we will review information in these forms with you to ensure that all details have been covered and explained.
